Cholera?...Not likely the source of a possible outbreak aboard a Norwegian Cruise Ship

The Vesssel Norwegian Dawn was denied port at Mauritias on Feb 25th due to concerns that about 15 passengers may have fallen ill after visiting ports in South Africa. Cholera is not usually implicated in foodborne outbreaks, however it is a possibility. Cholera, like Norovirus, can be transmitted through un-washed hands, but it is unusual. I have my money on Norovirus in this case.
